A Living Classroom: Now Scheduling Spring Field Trips

At Burkett Farm, our site isn’t just functional - it’s an immersive learning tool. The Container Barn, our fields, gardens, and renewable energy and water conservation systems, creates a multi-sensory learning environment where visitors can see, taste, and experience sustainable agriculture and conservation practices in action.

We welcome groups from visiting schools to schedule field trips to the farm - we still have spring semester dates available in April and May. We offer lesson plans on a variety of topics related to environmental conservation, local food systems, sustainable agriculture, and nutrition.
